10 Things That Make A Good Recount!

Today in our writing session Addison(My Writing Buddy) and I made a google doc, We discovered and wrote 10 words that make a good recount!!

My learning goal for the remainder of term 4 is to cooperate with my buddy better,  talk to my buddy more so we know how each other work and would like to work so we are more comfortable to work together.

In a recount I need to use rich words in my paragraphs more often so it is interesting for the reader so he/she would like to carry on reading an interesting recount not a boring one and stop reading.

Persuasive Writing- T3 21.09.20

This week my tuhi ropu have been writing a persuasive writing sample.

Something I struggled with but managed to overcome was finding examples and finding the evidence to my main points.

I did this by doing a planning first and using that to help with my actual copy of persuasive writing.

Something I didn't learn but would like to is how to find a lot more sites on the web that actually match with my question.

Environmental Poem! My Mysterious Taonga :)

For the past 2 days with my Kaiako Mrs Bava I have been writing a environmental poem!

I found it easy to write about my taonga because I had a whole page full of brainstorming.

I found it challenging to find the RIGHT words to use for this poem because there were A LOT of interesting words I could use.

Next time I will add more to my poem and make my words more bolder and easier for the reader to see and read.

My Favorite Parts Of The Day!

Today in writing we were writing about our favorite parts of the day!

I found it easy to find interesting words to put in my sentences because my two favourite part of the days are very interesting.

I found it challenging to find TWO parts of the day to write about because I love my whole day.

Next time I will take more time in my sentences so it is longer.

The Awapuni School Fun Run!

For the past week in writing we have been writing a recount on the Awapuni Fun Run!

I found it easy to but detail into some of the obstacle courses because on the Fun Run day I could memorize and remember all of the obstacle courses.

I found it challenging to find the right font to help the reader read the story.

Next time I will find more interesting words to put into the story so the reader doesn't read the story boringly.

I found it challenging to find the right information for my paragraphs I choose.

Should we have a healthy diet

Should we have a healthy diet ?
In my opinion, I agree that you should have a healthy diet because…
Firstly eating junk food and fast food is not good because it has calories and calories is a measure of an energy expenditure and also stored energy. Also it has a lot of sugar and fat. Therefore it is really not good for you.
Secondly instead of eating junk  food you could eat a rainbow.  A rainbow is a different coloured healthy food which has a lot of vitamins such as vitamin A,B,C and a lot more vitamins. Vitamins and minerals are good for you because they are really healthy and help you have a balanced diet.
Thirdly you should eat super foods such as berries avocado and broccoli including a lot more. Also eating super food is really good for you because it has a lot of vitamins just like eating the rainbow.
Fourthly you should eat dairy products because they have calcium in them. This helps your bones and teeth and more but those are the basics because they make them healthier and stronger.
Also you should eat meat because it has a lot of iron and iron is full of protein. It helps your body get healthier too by getting oxygen and energy to your body. Iron is found in meat as you already know and leafy green vegetables and a lot more.
Sixthly  this paragraph is about vitamins. Vitamin A helps soft tissue which is also found in carrots, kumara, apricots and more. Vitamin B maintains brain function, memory, thinking and last one emotions.
Finally this is about the immune system. The immune system is just like a shield that protects you from diabetes and illness.
And that is why I strongly believe that you should have a healthy diet.

Seeing my new born baby brother

Seeing my new born baby brother.
1.Going to the hospital.
2.Staying with my stepmum.
3.Seeing my newborn baby brother.
“YAY! I can’t wait to see my new baby brother and my stepmum” I said. “Were here! Were here!”my brother said. so we hopped out of the car and started happily walking then my dad said “are you excited to see your new baby brother” and we excitedly said “YES”. as soon as we got there my dad asked the lady if she could tell us where her room was, then she asked for the name and my dad said “Mele lehauli” so she told us “left corner to the right” so we went and she had a roommate and her name was kianni.after a minute she left to go get checked out. Then my brother and I went to the kids room because she was having her baby and my dad stayed after a couple of minutes my dad said “do you want to see your baby brother” so we went and saw our baby brother I said “he is so cute when are they coming home with us dad” “in two more weeks” my dad said. Then my stepmum gave my brother to my dad, when he was holding him he was falling asleep and after my brother was asleep and my stepmum my dad put him with my stepmum and we left and got ready to have our tea.
