Guy Fawkes Acrostic Poem!!

During our two sessions of tuhi we learnt and created a piece of an acrostic poem about guy fawkes. At the start of the session our kiako lit some sparklers and showed us a video of the London fireworks at the start of 2020 to help us create a picture in our mind. Guy Fawkes in New Zealand are on the 5th of november, On November 5th in New Zealand we can either set a fire on the sandy beach or obviously set off fireworks.

I enjoyed watching our kiako light the sparklers they brought because it was interesting what they drew, wrote and the smell smelt nice.

I found it challenging to think of words to fill the letters because I couldn't think of any words that would match the topic and the letter.

I found it easy to find the font and to make my words show more than the background.

Next time I will use more interesting words and more words to add to the sentence.

  1. Kia ora Grace,
I really like your acrostic poem, I also like how you have used a little maori. You have really detailed stems.
Next time maybe you should add more backgrounds or colour.
Ka pai Grace on your great mahi.

  3. Kia ora Grace the thing I like about your acrostic poem is about how interesting your thinking and your ideas are and how you make your poem stand out with the words, decerations and writing colour.
Maybe next time you could make your words a bit more bigger.
    Keep all your post coming!!
